FURQAN is a brand operated by Manaracode LLC, a company registered in the United States of America — the party responsible for your personal data (the data controller) under this policy.

• Telegram notifications: if you link your account to Telegram, notification content (such as your teacher’s name and session times) passes through Telegram. You can unlink at any time from your settings.

FURQAN Academy respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This document explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: full name, email, phone number.
• Session data: booking history, notes, memorization progress, evaluations.
• Payment data: processed via a certified payment provider (Stripe). We do not store card details on our servers.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device — used for security and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Deliver education services and manage your account and scheduling.
• Communicate about bookings, follow-ups, evaluations, and academy updates.
• Process payments and issue invoices.
• Improve service quality and track academic progress.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with your assigned teacher within the scope of your sessions, and with technical service providers (Supabase for database, Daily.co for video, Resend for email, and Telegram for notifications to users who linked their account) under confidentiality agreements.

4. Your Rights

• Access your data and request a copy.
• Correct any inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data (financial records are retained as required by law).
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• File a complaint with your local data protection authority.

5. Data Security

We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) in transit and database-level encryption for sensitive fields. We enforce strict access policies and conduct regular audits.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data while the account is active. After account closure, educational data is deleted within 90 days. Financial records are retained for the legally required period (typically 7 years).

7. Child Safeguarding & Protection

Our services are available to students of all ages. For anyone under 18 we require the account to be created or supervised by a parent or guardian, we ask for the student's date of birth and a guardian email address in the account settings, and we contact the guardian at that address about anything concerning the child's account. To be plain about it: we do not independently verify the family relationship — the accuracy of these details is the account holder's responsibility. A guardian may write to us about their child's data at the address shown below.

• Session safeguards: All sessions take place inside the platform and are logged; off-platform direct contact is not permitted.
• Recording of one-to-one sessions: One-to-one sessions are recorded automatically, and an in-room notice shows to both the student and the teacher for as long as the recording runs. The recording is available to the student, their teacher and the academy's administration only — it is never published or shared with anyone else — and it is deleted after 90 days. Recordings are held by our video provider, Daily.co, on servers in the United States. To discuss your child's recordings, email safeguarding@furqan.today.
• Teacher vetting: All teachers are background-checked and hold verified Ijazah credentials before joining the academy.
• Zero-tolerance policy: Any report of inappropriate conduct results in immediate account suspension pending investigation.
• Report a concern: Email safeguarding@furqan.today — we respond within 24 hours.
